NEWS FOR AUGUST 2009

Image:

The yard has seen some comings and goings with horses arriving for relaxation or just some plain TLC have been enjoying a summer break and then are returned back to work. Colloquial is now fit and well after an excellent job by Jo and her team. The owner is thrilled that after some first class care, he is now ready to return to training for the 2010 season.

The gorgeous Spot who his owner, Tracie had wondered if he would ever compete again having been plagued with a recurring foot problem is now back competing again. Something that Tracie would probably admit she really didn't think would happen. Not only is Spot back competing, Tracie has decided to keep him at Jo's as Spot (and Tracie) just love it there.

From Tracie:

"This is a photo (see top of page) taken on Sunday at the warm up of our competition.
We went to Merrist Wood (Guildford) to do a BD Prelim Dressage Test and a BD Novice Test.
The Prelim went really well and we scored 65.5% and Won the Open section!"

All the yearlings and foals continue to flourish. Art Series continues to battle with the ever growing but totally gorgeous, Charlie who is just turning into the most cheeky of foals. Everyone loves him. Art Series has got to the stage that weaning can't come quick enough as Charlie is for ever trying to eat her ears... her tail, her mane... infact anything he can get his very sharp teeth into. Art continues to be the most fantastic and patient Mum though. Katy-Q is looking extremely fit and healthy.

The two yearlings thoroughbreds just continue to grow and flourish. Both of them are due to be broken in and the owner is currently in discussion with several trainers about where they will be sent in 2010.
